The Indiana Geographic Information Council (IGIC) is offering a free GIS education opportunity for educators – and those studying to be educators – on March 2, 2011 in Muncie.

GIS is the technology that many teachers use to make social studies, geography and other subjects come alive in the classroom. As part of IGIC’s commitment to education, we have scheduled four sessions just for educators in conjunction with the upcoming Indiana GIS Conference. Time will be devoted to hands-on GIS activities, complete with lesson plans for all age groups. There will also be GIS technology demonstrations as well.
